Practice & Progress
How much practice is expected each week?
Regular practice is essential. Beginners may start with 10–15 minutes daily, increasing as they progress.
What if my child doesn’t practise regularly?
Consistent practice is key to improvement. I will encourage and guide students, but parental support at home plays an important role.
How do you motivate children to practise?
I aim to make lessons engaging, structured, and achievable so that students experience a sense of progress and accomplishment, which naturally builds motivation.
I also use a simple reward system to encourage consistent effort. Students can earn stickers for their practice, focus, and effort during lessons. Once they collect 10 stickers, they can exchange them for a small reward such as stationery or a treat.
In addition, parental involvement at home plays an important role. Children are often more motivated to practise when they feel supported and encouraged by their parents.
How do you track or report progress to parents?
I provide regular feedback during lessons and can update parents on progress, strengths, and areas to improve.
