What are your qualifications and experience?

I hold a Diploma of Music (DMus) and Bachelor of Music (BMus), majoring in Classical Performance, as well as an LMusA qualification. I am an accredited teacher and a member of the Music Teachers’ Association (NSW).

With over 30 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of various ages and levels, from beginners to advanced exam candidates. I also have experience teaching adult students and greatly enjoy supporting them in their musical journey. Many of my students have achieved excellent results in examinations, including Honours and High Distinctions.

Do you have experience teaching children?

Yes, I have extensive experience teaching children and adapting lessons to suit their individual learning styles. I have also worked with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism and ADHD, and I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment for every child.

How do you handle beginners vs advanced students?

Lessons are tailored to each individual student. Beginners focus on building strong foundations in technique, note reading, and rhythm, while more advanced students refine their technique, interpretation, and musical expression.
